Verloskundigen Rotterdam West also functions as a training centre for midwifery students from the Midwives Academy of Rotterdam (VAR). With your permission, they will accompany our licensed midwives during appointments, deliveries, and postnatal check ups. Students may carry out procedures and checks independently depending on level of training and only with the permission of our clients.
Our VAR students are often enthusiastic and passionate about learning everything this profession has to offer. Our pregnant clients and their partners–as well as our group of licensed midwives–often find their presence to be a wonderful experience for everyone involved. Of course, you have the right to receive care without the presence of a student.
