About six weeks after labour you can make an appointment at the clinic for further check up with the midwife who supervised your labour. Even if your birth took place in hospital under the guidance of the gynaecologist, you are still welcome to make an appointment for this assessment session.
During your appointment we will answer and explain all your questions and doubts you may still have regarding your labour. We would love to see both you and your baby again!
You can also discuss any issues which may come up after the postnatal period, as well as ask us to explain the various methods of contraception once again. We will monitor your blood pressure and, if necessary, test your blood for iron levels. Furthermore, we can talk about your wishes for the future – whether you would like your family to continue to grow – and offer advice.
