Your personal data and medical file
We handle your medical data with care. Your personal data is well secured. We process your data in accordance with our privacy and data security policy. This is based on the WGBO (Medical Treatment Agreement Act), the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), and the Wabpz (Act on Supplementary Provisions for the Processing of Personal Data in Healthcare). You agree to this storage (processing) by having your care provided by our practice.
This is how we handle your personal data:
- We store and use your personal data so that we can provide you with good care.
- We only share your data with third parties if this is necessary to provide good care. If specific consent is required by law for this, we will ask for it in advance. This includes your general practitioner, gynecologist, maternity care provider, and CJG.
- We process your data on the basis of the treatment agreement as described in the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO). Your data is stored for 20 years in a securely protected file.
- You have the right to access your medical record. We can print it for you or provide digital access. Please send us a written request.
- If you believe that the data we have stored about you is incorrect, you may ask us in writing to correct your data.
- You will receive a message from us if something has gone wrong with your personal data.
- We do not process your data for longer than necessary to provide good care. We adhere to the retention periods of the WGBO.
- All of the above also applies to personal data that we receive via third parties.

Perinatal registration
Unless you object, your data will also be registered and processed in the perinatal registry. In the perinatal registry, data from midwives, gynecologists, and pediatricians are linked and anonymized. This non-identifiable data is subsequently used to provide insight into the quality of care and to improve care. Your privacy in practice
For your safety and ours, cameras are active in our practice room. The video recordings are generally deleted after 24 hours. The recordings can only be used if an incident has occurred. In that case, they are retained for a longer period.
