Carolien Verburgh

Dear (expecting) parents,

I am Carolien Verburgh, and I have been working as a midwife at Rotterdam West since January 2022. Prior to this, I worked in psychiatry, and subsequently – after retraining – I worked as a midwife at various practices in the region.

I feel completely at home here at West. I really enjoy getting to know you all, all so different. Each with their own story, background, and culture, but all on the journey to parenthood, whether for the first time or again. This is what makes my work so interesting, fun, and challenging.

During this special time in your lives, I believe it is important that you feel empowered. I support this by offering trust and safety, and by tailoring my care to your individual wishes and needs.
