Joint consultation hours with the Gynecologist & Midwife
We maintain a close collaboration with Erasmus MC.
This has resulted in the following partnership: once a month, our practice hosts joint consultation hours with Dr. B. van Rijn from Erasmus MC and one of our midwives.
Consequently, our pregnant clients no longer need to visit the Obstetrics outpatient clinic at the EMC during their pregnancy for this specific consultation.
Examples of indications for the joint consultation hours include:
– Excessive blood loss after the previous delivery (Postpartum hemorrhage)
– Medication use during the current pregnancy
– Previous delivery via cesarean section
– A high BMI (body mass index)
– Other consultation requirements during the current pregnancy
Our midwife will indicate during your appointment if there is a medical reason for you to attend these consultation hours and will schedule you accordingly in Rotterdam. During the consultation, Dr. van Rijn will immediately inform you of the management plan for your pregnancy.
