Becoming a parent / pre-conception consultation

You and your partner, have decided to stop using contraception and hope to get pregnant. How exciting! To help expecting parents, we offer “Becoming a parent” consultation appointments. This consultation, also known as pre-conception care, aims to encourage a healthy pregnancy and increase the chances of giving birth to a healthy baby.

During this consultation we cover the following topics:

• Nutrition
• Healthy lifestyle choices for both you and your partner.
• Medication and former pregnancy complications.
• Fertility issues
• Familial disease and genetic testing.
• Folic acid

Good preparation increases the chances of a successful pregnancy and a healthy baby. For this appointment, we will need your health insurance  provider information so that all invoices can be forwarded to them. Ask your insurance provider whether this consultation is included in your insurance plan. If it is not you are still more than welcome but will be charged for the session.
