When I was 16, I was introduced to the profession of midwifery. During that time, I had the opportunity to shadow a midwife and witness a home delivery. Immediately, I was fascinated by the involvement of the midwife. At that time, I knew I wanted a career in midwifery.

In 2011, I graduated as a midwife in Belgium and quickly started in my beloved birth city of Rotterdam. The first 8 years of my career, I have been employed for midwife practices throughout Rotterdam South.

With pride, I earned my sonography license in March 2019. I find it valuable to perform ultrasounds in combination to the regular check-up appointments. The First Trimester Ultrasound I find the most special and rewarding as that’s the moment the expecting parents will meet their baby for the first time.

Late 2019, I joined the team of midwives at Verloskundigen Rotterdam West. Shortly after, I qualified in contraception care.
