Fertility ultrasound
Our practice performs ultrasounds for women undergoing infertility treatment in the Netherlands or abroad.
Practice owners and midwives Suze Klapper & Janita Simonse are both certified sonographers.
They are experienced sonographers who perform the prenatal screening ultrasounds during pregnancy, the 13 & 20-week scan.
Only Suze & Janita perform these ultrasounds on our high-end ultrasound equipment at our main location at Heemraadssingel 152 in Rotterdam.
This ultrasound is transvaginal, so internal.
This examination is not reimbursed in the Netherlands, and you will have to pay for it yourself.

You can pay by debit card at the practice.
With this ultrasound:
- Is the uterus being examined, position in the abdomen
- The uterus measured
- The thickness of the uterine lining was measured. The endometrium, this thickness is important for the implantation of the embryo during a pregnancy.
- The left and right ovaries are measured separately.
- The number of follicles (egg cells) in the ovaries is counted and the follicles are measured individually.
- We can email the ultrasound photos to you so that they can be forwarded to the clinic where you are being treated.
