In the birth plan, you indicate, among other things, where you want to give birth, how you want to cope with contractions, and whether or not you want pain relief. Do you want to give birth in bed or, for example, on a birthing stool? Who is allowed to be present during the delivery? Through the birth plan, you show what is important to you. The person guiding your delivery can take this into account as much as possible. Creating a birth plan is not mandatory, but it can serve as a good guideline for how you want your delivery to be managed. It is intended for yourself, your partner, your midwife, or other healthcare providers. You can email us your completed birth plan so that we can discuss it during a prenatal check-up. It is also helpful to bring a printed copy with you during your delivery.
